Duties of the Standing Committees
Awards
The Awards Committee shall
familiarize themselves with the suggestions
for Awards/Recognitions
post on the website.
The will then keep track
of events withing the chapter during the year and
at the end of the end(MAY)recognize
chapter individuals for appropriate awards.
Thee may award some,all
or new awards as the deem appropriate.
Small tokens of appreciation
may be given in recognition,
but this should be coordinated
through the treasurer.
Conversation
The Conversation Committee
is a very popular committee.
They help keep our members
active and involved via email postings.
They also enalbe us to
learn and explore more about each other.
The Committee will post
post at least one topic of
"CONVERSATION" each month.
It is suggested that this
be coordinated with the program committee
so that they are both not
posted at the same time, but spread throughout the month
to encourage participation
all month long.
The topics may be on any
sibject, but should encourage members to share something of themselves
with the group be it an
opinion, a bit of information about themselves or their life, or
just a dream they may have.
The sole job of this committee
is to keep us talking and sharing with each other.
Program
The Program Committee is
responsible for issuing a program each month
to be answered or discussed
by the membership.
It is necessary for the
chapter to hold programs in order for our members to receive
credit for time in grade
with International.
Although members are not
mandated to participate, it is strongly urged that they participate in
these programs.
The Program Committee should
strive to encourage all members to participate as much as possible.
Sunshine
The Sunshine Committee
is respnsible for issuing notices of illness, happy days or events,
condolences, announcements
such as birthdays, etc.
They will send special
occasion cards via email to all sisters.
They will strive to keep
all members connected through the sharing of special events in their lives
thus spreading not only
Sunshine but Friendship
Yearbook
The Yearbook
Committee shall be responsible for maintaining the website:
http://bspsisters.ca/ole
online keeping
all information within that site,
current and
correct.
It is suggested
that someone on the Yearbook Committee
be familiar
with HTML format as the site is written in that.
